We currently have many children waiting for a sponsor. For some, Child Sponsorship can even mean the difference between life and death.
But your kindness will reach far beyond one life. Because the £30 a month you give will also help Reach South Africa support the whole community to which your sponsored child belongs. Sponsoring a child’s place at school enables the school to provide services and out-reach to the whole community including basic social care
Our aim is to eradicate poverty in the world's poorest communities. By sponsoring a child, you'll be helping us do just that.
We get regular enquiries about Child Sponsorship. Hopefully if you have any questions they'll be answered here:
| Q: How much of my contribution will reach my sponsored child? | A: For every £1 donated, £1 goes towards securing a better future for some of the world's poorest children, including your sponsored child. We use any money generated by Gift Aid to cover additional costs and cost of administration. |
| Q: How often will I hear from my sponsored child? | A: Every Year you will receive a progress report from the school with an updated photo, a Christmas card and a letter from your child if they can write. Youcan write to your child whenever you wish. |
| Q: Can I choose my sponsored child? | A: You choose whether you would prefer to sponsor a boy or a girl and the age of the child. Reach South Africa will match sponsors to children based on this information. You can also talk about other sponsorship options by contacting the Reach South Africa Office. |
| Q: How long will my sponsorship last? | A: A child sponsorship usually last from 10 to 15 years, until the child leaves school. You can sponsor a child for all or part of this time. |
